Malta Activities: Kid-Friendly in Malta

Without question, there is plenty for children to see and do on the Maltese Islands. The following eight destinations are ideal for the entire family, whether you are on vacation with or want to spend quality time with your children.

BOV Adventure Park

The BOV Adventure Park is fun for kids of all ages, including climbing frames, water fountains, swings, a picnic area, and more. A small café is also accessible for parents to enjoy refreshments as their children play in the open environment.

Esplora

Esplora is a recently opened Interactive Science Centre in Villa Bighi, Kalkara, Malta's south. While the kids are entertained for a few hours, the parents can walk along the front towards the three cities, viewing the Valletta Bastions from a perspective that is rarely touted but just as stunning as the Sliema side view.

Duck Village

Duck Village, easily identified by its donated decorations, is sprinkled with little dwellings for neighbouring ducks to rest in. Although the humanitarian initiative is called Duck Village, it is home to various animals, including cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. The Duck Village is located on Manoel Island near Gzira.

Malta National Aquarium

The aquarium features 41 tanks and over 100 species, including Mediterranean fish, reptiles, amphibians, and insects. There is also a nautical-themed outdoor play area for youngsters and a café providing refreshments on the piazza overlooking St. Paul's Island.

Mediterraneo Marine Park

Visit Malta's marine park if you're searching for an exciting family day out. Enjoy spectacular presentations with dolphins, sea lions, and parrots. The Mediterraneo Aquatic Park, home to diverse marine life species, is informative and enjoyable. You can also swim with dolphins for an extra fee.

Splash and Fun Water Park

Splash and Fun, located across the Mediterraneo Marine Park, promises a fantastic day out. Try out the wave pool, lazy river, black hole, and other attractions at Splash and Fun.

Popeye Village

Popeye Village was established in 1980 as a film set for a musical production of Popeye, but it has since become a family favourite entertainment park. This picture-perfect village has playgrounds, swimming pools, animation shows, boat cruises, restaurants, and other attractions.

Bugibba Water Park

Those living in Bugibba and St. Paul's Bay will find that visiting the Water Park in the square is a terrific fun day out for the youngsters.
